My art on TV!

I was recently asked to participate in a charity event for Chair-ish benefiting Kids On The Block with a cocktail supper and auction featuring chairs and clever chair-themed art by local and nationally acclaimed artists.

I am THRILLED and honored to be a part of it... but to top it off, my chair was on TV!!

More new paintings...

You know, sometimes I forget just WHY I paint all the time. Sometimes I start thinking "Why am I painting these little trinkets ALL the time?! What for?!"

And then I was reminded yesterday by someone who was looking at all the little paintings and doodles I've done. He said "You know, sometimes I forget that there is just JOY in art." 

I think that pretty much explains it. That is the real reason I do it.

Happy New Year, everyone! The other day I was putting up our new 2011 calendars. And, of course, rather than just tossing the old ones I got the urge to draw on them. Enjoy!

So, many folks know that I  love to make lists. I do it all the time. I started thinking about my favorite movies as an alphabetical list... so, of course, I had to draw it. Here is the start of it:
